SVCC Board Feels Small Tuition Increases Each Year Better Than One Big Increase Every Few Years

During the Sauk Valley College Board of Trustees meeting the board needed to decide some cost issues for the upcoming fiscal year.

The first was a fee and tuition adjustment.  The proposal has been to rise the per credit hour tuition fee by $4.  This would make the Course costs at $139. It was stated the board felt it was better to have small tuition increases each year instead of one big increase once every 5 years.  The board approved the adjustment.

The Board also agreed to another adjustment, but, this one was to lower the tuition fee.  The College for sometime has held CDL License Classes.  The tuition for the month long class will be lowered and when asked why, it was because the school has a new vendor.

The new vendor will be Midwest State Drivers.  The Tuition Fee Adjustments will go into effect on July 1, 2021.
