Lee County State’s Attorney Hopes to Get Back to Doing the Work of the People

This past year everyone and everything has been impacted by the virus.  Even the justice system was impacted, but, it was not impacted enough to come to a grinding halt.

Lee County State’s Attorney Charlie Boonstra said the Lee County Courthouse was closed for much of the year.  He is hopeful people will consider getting the vaccine when it comes widely available so they can return to normal procedures at the courthouse and get back to doing the work of the people.

Boonstra said work was still completed over the past year.  He said several high profile cases were resolved.

Some of them dealt with drug dealing in Lee County.  Boonstra said he hopes the message has gotten out to some of those who deal in drugs in Lee County that you will pay a price for your actions.
