Larry Duane Potter, 78, of Polo, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL. He was a lifetime farmer in the surrounding area for many years. Larry also worked for Allied Locke for 17 years.
Larry was born, January 9, 1942, in Fort Scott, KS, the son of Paul and Kathryn (Brown) Potter. He married Millie Wright on August 29, 1965, at Northside Baptist Church in Dixon, IL. He enjoyed fishing, camping and taking care of his yard and pond.
Larry is survived by his wife if 55 years Millie; son, David Potter, and several nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gene Potter.
A private graveside service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2020 with Pastor Jack Briggs, officiating. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon, IL.
Memorials may be directed to Granny Rose Animal Shelter in Dixon and Happy Tails Humane Society in Rock Falls.
