Mayor Arellano Hopes 2021 Will Bring Community Unity and Support and a Big Post Pandemic Party

Do you believe that 2021 will eventually mean the end of restrictions; restaurants open for business where you can sit down inside and you can take off your mask and not put it back on.

Dixon Mayor Li Arellano has high hopes this is what is in store for us this year.  While many other mayors talk of economic development and city projects the mayor is hoping people will come together and unify in support of one another.

The mayor said this year has brought so many rifts in friendships and even family.  As a way to help, said the mayor, the city has been talking about hosting a massive after the pandemic party.

All of the festivals and events in the Sauk Valley were cancelled last year.  This included Petunia Festival, Polo Town and Country Days, Autumn on Parade and all of the county fairs.  The mayor said this one massive event might take the place of what we missed last year.
