Eddie Falk Kerley, 78, of Dixon, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Dixon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Dixon, IL. He worked in the maintenance department at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital.
Eddie was born, April 28, 1942, in Rockford , IL, the son of Norm and Johnnie (Falk) Kerley. He married Mary Guerrero on July 1, 1996, in Dixon. Eddie was an active member and member of the choir at First Baptist Church in Dixon. He was also a member of Shriners, Sterling Senior Center and organized the Open Mic Night at Lee County Council on Aging in Dixon. Eddie served in the U.S. Air Force. He also was an inventor always creating new things to make life easier.
Eddie is survived by his wife Mary Kerley of Dixon; four children, Lisa and Terry both of CA, Andy Harris and Crystal (Mark) Koster both of Dixon; four grandchildren, Candice, Dylan, Jackson, David; three great-grandchildren, Braben, Areil, Cody; two brothers, John Kerley of FL, Noble Kerley of CA; three sisters, Elleria (Marc) Farwell of FL, Norma Sue (Delbert) Hudson of Calvert City, KY, Mary Lou Duckett of Paducah, KY; several nieces and nephews.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ken Kerley.
Private Services will be held at a later date. Burial of cremated remains will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
Memorials may be directed to Shriners Hospital for Children.
