It is Classes as Usual for Dixon Students Attending WACC

Dixon Schools are currently in what is called an Adaptive Pause which is another way of saying remote learning on a temporary basis.  All of the students are attending classes through E-Learning.

This means remote learning except for one group of students, those that attend the Whiteside Area Career Center.  During the most recent School Board meeting, Superintendent Margo Empen said Whiteside was still holding in person classes.

The reason for this is the fact Whiteside is more of hands on teaching.  Empen said the students who can drive themselves over for the classes can still do so.  The district will be offering busses with social distancing being observed.

Empen said for parents who may not feel comfortable sending their students to in person classes, the Center is willing to work with them.  Empen said possibly some kind of remote learning can be arraigned.
