Enrollment Numbers at SVCC Look Bad, But Some Not as Bad as Others

During the recent Board of Trustees meeting at Sauk Valley Community College none of the enrollment numbers for summer or fall were good, but, some were not as bad as others.

The board was presented with the information that showed for the summer classes, enrollment was down 16%.  On the other hand, the Paid Credit Hours was down by only 7%.  The Board was told that was not too bad.

The bad news came when they looked at the Fall Enrollment numbers.  At this time those numbers are down 34.5%.  The hope is the numbers will improve once fall gets closer and they see what the 4 year colleges will do.

In other business: the college acknowledged the 2020 Outstanding Full and Part-Time employees.  For Full-Time Angela Delhotel was honored.  Delhotel works in the Foundation for Stewardship Coordinators Office.  For Part-Time Michael Santos was recognized.  Santos is a Learning Commons Disability Support Instructional Assistant.
