Masks Required and Temperature Taken for Anyone Entering Whiteside County Courthouse Beginning May 1st

Whiteside County Sheriff John Booker says effective May 1st until further order of the courts, all persons appearing in any courtrooms in the Whiteside County Courthouse will be required to wear a mask or appropriate face covering.  The masks must be worn at all times.

Due to the shortages of PPE masks will not be provided by the Sheriff’s Office to the public, except as to those who must appear in order to request an Order of Protection and who do not otherwise have adequate masks of their own.

The Sheriff also said every person entering the Courthouse will have their temperature take.  Anyone with a fever above 100.4 will not be allowed to enter the Courthouse.

This order is consistent with the Executive Orders of the Governor, the Administrative Orders of the Chief Judge of the 14th Judicial Circuit and the Presiding Judge of Whiteside County.
