Whiteside County has identified three additional laboratory confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. The cases are in their 20s, 40s and 60s. By the time the results were made available, one individual had recovered.
The Whiteside County Health Department is working with the individuals and their healthcare providers to identify quarantine and monitor contacts at risk for signs of illness.
With fear, stress and anxiety surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic it is important to take care of yourself and each other. Call or text friends and family or use FaceTime, Skype or Google Hangouts to stay in touch. Use technology and apps to to watch movies and play games with friends when separated. Practice deep breathing, stretching or meditation. Put phones away and take breaks from watching, reading or listening to news stories, including social media. Eat well, exercise, get plenty of sleep and avoid alcohol and drugs.
