Dixon Park District to Keep Bike Path Open, But, Must Maintain Social Distancing

After multiple reports of large groups crowding the bike path the Dixon Park District is taking extra steps to inform the community of proper etiquette at the bike path.

“We have addressed this concern today. We have taken action to install sanitizer stations and posted signs to educate people on this serious matter” says Duane Long, Executive Director of Dixon Park District.

The signs list the following reminders:

The walking paths are open but please maintain social distancing  Please avoid groups of any size  Keep a distance of 6 ft apart from each other. If the trail is crowded please come back at an alternative time. Dogs need to be leashed on all Dixon Park District Property (except the dog park)

The Dixon Park District also wants to remind everyone that the playgrounds are closed.
