Teens Cited on Alcohol Charges Following Traffic Stop

On Saturday, March 7, just after 11 pm the Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by a 17 year old male juvenile of Morrison, for registration violation.  The traffic stop occurred East Market Street and North Cherry Street, Morrison.

As a result of the investigation during the traffic stop, Morrison Police issued citations to the male juvenile charging him with Driving While License Suspended, Illegal Transportation of Alcoholic Liquor (Driver) and No Valid Registration.  The male juvenile was then released to a family member.

A passenger, a 17 year old female juvenile of Prophetstown was also issued a citation for Illegal Transportation of Alcoholic Liquor (Passenger).  Another passenger, 18 year old Lillian G. Pruis of Morrison was also issued citations for Illegal Transportation of Alcoholic Liquor (Passenger) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Morrison Police were assisted by the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office.
