Alcohol May Have Been a Factor in Man Driving Down Railroad Tracks

On Sunday at 9:19 p.m., Illinois State Police received a report of a vehicle on the railroad tracks near Jack Dame Road in Rochelle.

Troopers say 46 year old Travis W. Baker of St. Louis, Missouri was approached after driving his vehicle a half mile down the railroad tracks. The vehicle became disabled at that location.

Baker was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, and improper lane usage. Baker was released on an I-bond.
