Oregon High School Students Attend 2020 Census Summit in Chicago

Students from Oregon High School’s Open Program, an approved Local Complete Count Committee for the 2020 Census, attended the Census EDU Summit this week at Malcolm X College in Chicago.

Students heard from Governor JB Pritzker and several panels of guests regarding their project focus this year, the census. The students were also able to meet Dr. Carmen Ayala, the State Superintendent of Education, who was excited to hear about the OHS Open Program.

Several students also had a chance to be interviewed by Chicago media regarding their involvement as high school students in this incredibly important project.
