The Nachusa Grasslands Visitor Center recently received a Merit Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects. Jury comments included:
“The detailed approach was especially informative to the overall understanding of the site’s history and its proposed use.”
The Jury further stated, “Each feature looks like it belongs where it was placed. In a naturalized styled design, this is incredibly important and brilliantly done.”
“This design was well thought out and the use of engagement is impressive. Contextually, it seems to fit and be engaging.”
Check out the Visitor Center any day from dawn to dusk or during Autumn on the Prairie on September 21.
