Volunteers Working Hard Setting Up Tools for Schools at Reagan Middle School

Many volunteers including athletes and coaches from Dixon High School volunteered their time on Friday at Reagan Middle School to prepare for the annual Tools for Schools.

For the past several years the Dixon Public Schools has been a part of the Tools for School.  This is a program that makes sure the students who qualify can get most of the supplies they need to start the school year off right.

If a child qualifies for a free or reduced lunch then they are automatically registered for Tools for School.  The backpacks are filled with the supplies and they are designed to meet the each grade level.  All of the supplies are purchased and gotten through donations from groups and businesses in the Dixon area.  Earlier the Vendettas Motorcycle Club did their yearly backpack bike ride which brings in hundreds of backpacks.

Tools for School will be held on Monday August 12th from 8am-4pm in the cafeteria at Reagan Middle School.
