District 1 State Troopers Had a Busy June

Illinois State Police District 1 Commander, Captain Matthew Hodgdon, has announced District 1 enforcement figures and activity for June.

Illinois State Police District 1 Troopers issued 402 citations, 541 written warnings, and made 10 criminal arrests during the month of June. Speeding accounted for 210 citations, 50 citations were issued for occupant restraint violations, 7 citations were issued for distracted driving violations and 12 citations for move over violations were issued.

Troopers investigated 22 traffic crashes, assisted 91 motorists, and conducted 165 commercial vehicle inspections, 15 of which were placed out-of-service for safety reasons. There were 7 arrests for driving under the influence.

District 1, which encompasses Carroll, Lee, Ogle, and Whiteside counties, had no traffic crash fatalities in June.
