Suzanne “Suzie” D. Pottorff – Cravatta – Mercurio, 59, of Dixon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Serenity Hospice & Home.
Suzie was born, April 13, 1960, in Dixon, IL, the daughter of William and Alma (Livingston) Pottorff. She married Victor Mercurio on September 28, 2012 in Dixon. Suzie was a loving mother. She treasured her daughter, her friends and family. Although eventually broken from her long battle with illness, she never lost her spirit and zest for life. She loved to shop and could never pass up a garage sale. She enjoyed a drive to nowhere. She loved to talk and most of all, have a good laugh. Suzie’s achievements may not be remembered in the history books, but for those who knew her, understood her greatest gift was her big heart. She loved to love.
She is survived by her husband Victor, daughter Arianne Cravatta, brother, Brent (Jill) Pottorff; sister-in-law, two nephews, Justin Pottorff, Jason Pottorff; two nieces, Staci Pottorff, Stephanie Martin.
Suzie was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, David Pottorff.
The family wishes to extend their warmest and heartfelt gratitude to her best friend Wendy and her husband Dave for their unconditional love and care they provided and to the Serenity Hospice & Home for their support in her final days.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family service and burial of cremated remains will be at a later date in Oakville Cemetery in Mount Carroll, IL.
