Dixon School Board Approves Sale of $2.5mil Bonds As School Work Picks Up

The weather is starting to become more agreeable and workers at the Dixon High School are taking advantage of it.

Grounds and Maintenance Director Kevin Schultz told the School Board at their meeting Wednesday night scaffolding will begin to return at the High School.  Schultz said they lost some days because of the extreme cold and weather.  They are hoping to can regain some of those days said Schultz.

The School Board held a BINA Hearing before the regular School Board meeting Wednesday night. The purpose of the meeting was to approve the sale of $2.5 million is School Fire Prevention and Safety Bonds.

This is a normal process according to Schultz, as they seek to complete the school repairs and take care of the code violations.  He went on to say the work did experience some cost overruns earlier this year and this sale will take care of this.
