Sterling Mayor Strongly Invites Residents to Show Up to Jan. 21 Council Meeting

When it comes to city streets, everyone believes the city is not doing enough to repair the roads and fill in the pot holes. This is especially true if the street in question is the same one you live on.

According to Sterling Mayor Skip Lee Sterling will be stepping up the number of streets to be repaired this year.  The mayor is strongly suggesting if you have questions or want answers concerning streets and road repairs, you need to come to the January 21st City Council meeting.

Lee admits some people may not like the answers they get, but, he hopes they will understand the process the city takes to decide which roads get attention now and which ones do not.

The philosophy when it comes to road repairs in Sterling is do the job right the first times, according to Mayor Lee. He says they could do a quick repaving which may look good for a few years, or they can do it right and have the street hold up for several more years.  Mayor Lee had to admit, this philosophy may mean fewer roads get done, but, those that do are done right.
