GenNex Says They Are Not Dead Yet, Hopes Rebirth Meeting Rekindles Interest

Founder of GenNex Steve Wilson in Dixon said we are not dead and buried yet.

Wilson said they are actually going to hold what he called a Rebirth Meeting this Thursday.  Wilson has been leading the efforts to create a teen center in Dixon.

The Dixon Park District had approved the effort to be centered at the Veterans Memorial Pool.  There were hopes of turning the historic structure into a skate park and youth center.  These efforts had come to a screeching halt once the park districts insurance company said proper fencing was needed around the pool in order for skating to take place.

Since this time very little was heard from Project GenNex.  Wilson said he hopes to receive stronger support from the community to get the project up and running and he hopes this meeting will be the start of tha effort.

The meeting will be Tuesday at the Loveland Community House at 6pm.
